Philippe Starck’s innovative vision is to use technology to serve mankind in a unique way and to use less material for greater intelligence. By focusing on minimalizing waste and leveraging science and high-tech materials, he designed an exclusive eyewear collection attuned to the human body that bring Human as close as possible to Nature.

 

The FORGED CARBON STARCK BIOTECH PARIS FALL/WINTER 2021 collection designed by Philippe Starck in collaboration with Luxottica, embodies elegance and intelligence.


FORGED CARBON COLLECTION

 

Forged Carbon is a lightweight, yet highly resistant material that offers high performance and a minimal and modern aesthetic. Due to its technical qualities, it is traditionally used in high-tech sectors such as the cars, sports and aeronautics industry.

 

For the first time bio-based materials turn into STARCK BIOTECH PARIS collection are produced from 67% of renewable resources for a minimum environmental impact embodying Philippe Starck’s commitment to the future via his vision of sustainable design that helps human being to live in harmony with Nature.


The innovative and patented BIOLINK® technology is featured on every frame. BIOLINK® is a biomechanical articulation that is inspired by the human micro-clavicle. Just like the shoulder, it shares the same 360° multidirectional freedom of movement.  This unique hinge ensures maximum comfort and flexibility.

 

SPHERE® is a new revolutionary and exclusive articulation, connecting ultrathin titanium temples and injected front in exclusive High-Tech polymer Gravity Evo®. Thanks to its minimalistic conception without screws nor soldering, the Sphere technology allows an organic freedom of movement and a unique lightness.
