BRUT NATURE 2015 LOUIS ROEDERER

Brut Nature was born on the grounds of the Louis Roederer vineyard. More than a champagne, it is a diagonal work, born from the desire to create a pioneering, elegant and honest cuvée. Imagined as an exchange, shaped by a friendship, this cuvée is first and foremost the result of free thinking around a meeting between a House embodied by Frédéric Rouzaud, Chairman and CEO, his Cellar Master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, and the creator Philippe Starck.

The 2015 millésime, a spectacular year

2015 is a continental year, at full maturity, with explosive fruitiness and dense, concentrated textures. A spectacular millésime marked by a hot and sunny summer, with record temperatures and a radiant end to the season when the rain helped to slow down the ripening process.

"The Brut Nature 2015 Blanc is a champagne of action, of movement, which breathes intelligence. Tense and lively, bright and elegant. It is a champagne of the day, of immediate pleasure." Philippe Starck

The Brut Nature Blanc is a modern wine, mineral and straight, a perfect photograph of its origin. The very pure nose, evoking white fruits, then with aeration, notes of hazelnut, dried fruits and white pepper announce a great freshness. The mineral insistence continues in an extremely refined and chiselled bubble, nervous without austerity, carrying the wine into a long saline finish. The vibration of the clays and the sappy character of the millésime are reproduced with integrity, and this champagne offers itself in a great full and juicy texture, tracing a path of immense freshness and finesse.

"The Brut Nature 2015 Rosé is a mental game, a unique sensory and sentimental experience where we drink colour, we drink pink. Tender and intimate, sparkling and powdery. It is a sunset champagne." Philippe Starck

The Brut Nature Rosé is enchanting because of its fresh fruit, which is a sign of its terroir, but also because of the infusion technique used to make it. The ripest, juiciest grapes are delicately processed to preserve this early character. The nose opens with red fruit, a light floral and spicy accent; the bubbles then release a straight, sappy, generous, almost tannic juice, where the relief and substance are always balanced by these notes of blackberry and bramble, with fine bitterness sharpened in the finish. A powerful and straightforward champagne, elegant and sunny.
